Rowland and Sayers was founded by Eric Rowland and Shirley Sayers in 1965. In the early days they would rent various rooms throughout Tamworth before finally settling at the current premises on George Street in Tamworth town centre. Having taught hundreds of adults and children, many former students are now returning as adults themselves with their children and grandchildren to learn to dance.

Daughter Louise became a qualified teacher in 1988, she introduced a variety of new dance styles,which expanded on the dance school’s speciality of Ballroom and Latin American. Louise is now the dance school principal having taken over in 2007.

Rowland and Sayers is a successful medallist and competitive dance school.
